PAPSAS Region 3 Oath-Taking Ceremony

Clark-Pampanga – On June 26, 2025, the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PAPSAS) in Region 3 conducted its official oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected officers and members of the Board of Directors at Hotel Seoul, Clark-Pampanga. The occasion marked a remarkable milestone in the history of the regional chapter, as it reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to advance student welfare and promote quality services within the academic community.

During the program, the incoming officers and directors solemnly pledged to uphold their duties with integrity and professionalism. The event underscored the steadfast participation of the membership body, whose collective effort is essential in sustaining the chapter’s initiatives.

As we count down to the 19th PAPSAS III Annual Convention and Student Leaders’ Summit, we are honored to welcome two highly respected leaders in education and mental health. Prof. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, Regional Director of CHEDRO MIMAROPA, is a passionate advocate of quality and inclusive higher education, and she brings decades of leadership in student development and services. Dr. Sheila Marie “Shake” Guevarra-Hocson, a professor and research fellow at Far Eastern University as well as a mental health expert, consultant, and educator, will share powerful insights on harmonizing leadership and personal growth. The event will be held on May 15 to 16, 2025, at Galilee Resort in Bustos, Bulacan, with the theme “Harmonizing Leadership Challenges and Personal Well-Being.”

SAS Reorientation: Legal Bases & Provisions

The Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services in Region III (PAPSAS III) invites all Student Affairs and Services practitioners to the convention titled “SAS Reorientation: Legal Bases and Other Provisions in the Implementation of Student Affairs and Services,” to be held on March 20, 2025 at Casa Nena, Holy Angel University, Angeles City, Pampanga. The event aims to foster engagement and collaboration by sharing best practices and updates on the legal bases and provisions relevant to SAS work. 18th PAPSAS III Annual Convention & Student Leader Summit

Reflecting on the incredible 18th PAPSAS III Annual Convention and Student Leader Summit held on June 13 to 14, 2024 at Palm Cabanas Resort in Arayat, Pampanga, with the theme “Strategic Directions Toward Better SAS.” We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Renelyn Salcedo, PAPSAS National President, for her support, and to Prof. Winifredo Luis, former head of the Student Discipline Unit and president of the TSU Federated Faculty Union, for an engaging keynote address.

We also thank Dr. Lora Yusi, Director IV of CHEDRO III, for her inspiring recorded plenary talk. Our appreciation goes to the SAS practitioners who shared best practices that featured economic enterprises, and to the student leaders who presented outstanding community engagement programs. To all delegates, thank you for your meaningful participation that made the event a resounding success. We look forward to more enriching experiences together.
